A Disturbance Observer-Based Current-Constrained Controller for Speed Regulation of PMSM Systems Subject to Unmatched Disturbances

The speed regulation problem of permanent magnet synchronous motor system is investigated under a noncascade structure. Despite its superiority in straightforward control design, simple parameter adjustment, and satisfying dynamic performance, the structure brings two problems: overcurrent protection unmatched disturbance rejection. Under this structure, current cannot any more be restricted by reference value, ought to constrained within certain range ensure circuit safety. Besides, disturbances, mainly caused external load torques, may result undesired interference violate constraint requirement, since they affect directly via same channel. Toward that end, novel current-constrained algorithm designed tackle disturbances simultaneously. A observer (DOB) utilized for estimation. coping mechanism constructed restrict current. Then, key nonlinear item proposed augmenting estimation Finally, composite controller with concise rigorous closed-loop stability analysis. Numerical experimental tests further validate approach achieves promising tracking performance guarantees presence disturbances.
